Standing up for your child's needs in a  school settings isn't easy and that's why so few parents do it.  Sloan Rachmuth with Education First Alliance will teach you skills you will need to become a confident and effective representative  for your children's needs.

Public school policies have changed  for the worse since the COVID lockdowns began and parents must keep an eye out to protect their children.  Learn what to look out for in your child's  curricula, learn what to look for in your school's physical environment and  learn how to look for cues about teachers treat your child when you're not around.

As parents it's important to remember that public schools are here  to support  our children and our families.  But too often, school administrators  trample our parental rights, and the rights of our children with impunity.  Learn more here about what your rights are, how to exercise them, and what to do when your rights are violated.

Be Effective

  • Move from being a passive communicator to a confident, assertive communicator.

  • Advocate for your child and establish boundaries without feeling guilty.

  • Disagree assertively and know how to react when somebody disagrees with you.

  • Speak confidently and become visible in group situations.

  • Overcome your fears and limiting beliefs about speaking out.

  • Learn body language to support your assertive verbal message.
