No parent should ever fear unlawful surveillance of their families in public schools, especially from those charged with educating and caring for their children - yet that is exactly what's happening. The NC Department of Instruction (NCDPI) has partnered with NC Health and Human Services (NCHSS) is operating a program called "Social Emotional Learning" (SEL) which requires invasive Panorama Surveys to be administered to 1.5 million public school children via a software program attached to their student identifier number. Children are asked questions about their sexuality, race, nationality, and about their lifestyles at home. Alarmingly children are also asked to complete a psychiatric evaluation!
Fighting BACK against getting canceled!
We are living through cancel culture mania. Progressives are tarnishing their reputations and destroying the livelihoods of people with whom they disagree with the goal of intimidating them into silence, but there is a way to fight back. Dr. Andrew Pessin, Professor of Philosophy at Connecticut College, and Sloan Rachmuth, EFA President, will discuss what it's like to get 'canceled' and then fight back and WIN!
#WINNING School Board Races
Sloan will host a discussion with the Texas school board members who recently scored an overwhelming election victory to stop “critical race theory” from being forced into classes. Hear from the parents who ran institutionalized Marxist racism out of their school districts and learn how you can too.
What is Social Emotional Learning (SEL)?
Schools across North Carolina are using SEL in English classes, Art classes, and even in Homeroom. But the CASEL SEL program (NCDPI's preferred vendor) marries data collection, mental health, and Critical Race Theory. Learn more about the program from Sloan and Michelle.
NC History standards
NC State Board of Education just approved new social studies standards, but what does this mean for your children? What does it mean for the future of North Carolina? Join Sloan Rachmuth and Aaron Alexander to learn the basics of Critical Race Theory and how North Carolina public schools are infusing curriculums in grades K-12. Learn more about what we can all do to ensure that educators don't get to re-write history in an effort to divide the country.
SEL's Dangerous Agenda in Our Schools
Join us in an important discussion on the danger that SEL programming presents for our children. Dr. James Lindsay, an expert in CRT, will weigh in on the theories underlying SEL, and tell us ways we can eliminate the program from public schools. Dr. Lindsay is an American-born author, mathematician, and political commentator, Dr. James Lindsay has written six books spanning a range of subjects including religion, the philosophy of science and postmodern theory. He is the founder of New Discourses and currently promoting his new book "Cynical Theories: How Activist Scholarship Made Everything about Race, Gender, and Identity―and Why This Harms Everybody."
