Superintendent Truitt vs. North Carolina's Parents
On September 28th, North Carolina's highest-ranking education official State School Superintendent Catherine Truitt called parents standing up at school board meetings violent, harassing, and intimidating. Truitt has not cited evidence for her accusations, and the statement is still posted on the Department of Public Instruction's website.

On October 2nd, Education First Alliance and other groups joined to ask Superintendent Truitt to retract her defamatory statement about families advocating for their children's education. She has refused.
Here is a timeline of events that led up to Truitt's statement. They appear to match the timeline of NSBA's coordinating with the White House to involve the FBI in the targeing of parents.
